  1. The Road to Recovery: a presentation in six acts.

The events industry will recover, but uncertainty lies in how quickly and how fully. Association and for-profit executives alike will be tasked with building back revenue, attendee and exhibitor confidence, international market share and high-functioning teams with the skills needed to plan, produce and market a new class of events. Six leaders in their respective fields will share practical advice for predicting where the industry is headed, effectively navigating change and turning crises into opportunities.

Attendance is limited to executive-level (VP and above) professionals from associations or organizations that own, produce, and/or manage live events. Registration is complimentary, but space is limited; please note that registering for this event does NOT include registration for ECEF.

  2. Sam Lippman, President, Lippman Connects will start the day with a data-driven overview, spotlighting insights gleaned from Freeman Research.

  3. John Hoffman, CEO of GSMA, will engage in a freewheeling conversation with Robert Mesirow, Partner & Leader Connected Solutions/IoT, PwC. The audience is invited to participate in a discussion that will touch on how emerging mobile technologies will profoundly influence the future of exhibitions and conventions.

  4. Make sure everyone knows you're in the room, what you look like, and where you are seated.
  5. John Hoffman and Robert Mesirow will be available to take your one-on-one questions and comments.
  6. Gary Shapiro, President and CEO, Consumer Technology Association (producers of CES), will sign his book, Ninja Future - Secrets to Success in the New World of Innovation.
  7. Monique Ruff-Bell, Event Director of Money20/20 USA, and Richard Scarfo, President of HLTH share their success strategies.
  8. Get ready for the exhibition centers of the future when one of the most sought after and celebrated architects of the genre, Robert Svedberg, Principal at TVSDESIGN, tells you what he is hearing from organizers and facility owners. In this session he will share the top 10 things that are (and are not) changing in destinations and venue design and how these trends will impact the success or failure of your future events.
  9. The transition from 2021 to 2022 will see COVID-19 move from pandemic to endemic in some countries, but how will that impact our lives and businesses? In this session, Epistemix CEO John Cordier will provide his perspective on working with the events industry. He will share information on how the pandemic surfaced new innovations and accelerated others across industries. The critical considerations are what innovations are here to stay and how might they impact the future of the events industry.

  10. John Cordier will be available to take your one-on-one questions and comments.
  11. Ben Chodor, President, Notified, will sign his book, Transitioning to Virtual and Hybrid Events.
  12. Struggling to produce the digital event results your key stakeholders need? Don’t give up yet... Over the past six months, industry heavy-hitters from organizations like IAEE, UFI, SISO, and more joined together to develop the solution (and, now, it's ready!). Attend this session so you can:

    • Identify the biggest problems with digital event data and how they’re impacting you/your key stakeholders, whether you realize it or not…
    • Walk through the glossary (with 150+ terms!) and 18 data tables. Get a “behind the scenes” look at the intensive process required to create these documents; plus, highlight several key terms you need to know now.
    • Gain insights on related topics (like data, data ownership, future learning, and more), and contribute your perspective/questions too!

Moderator: David Adler, Chairman & Founder of BizBash, a Tarsus Company

Panelists: Robyn Davis, CEO of Exhibitors WINH and Rhonda Wunderlin, Senior Vice President, Performance Marketing at Questex
