58% of ECEF Pulse Study Respondents Expect Event Profitability to Rise in 2016

Lippman Connects and Exhibit Surveys announced the results of the 2015 ECEF Pulse Study. With 229 responses from association and independent organizers, the study explores the outlook for the exhibition and convention industry from the vantage point of the executive suite. For example, six out of 10 (58 percent) respondents expect event profitability to rise in 2016.

The ECEF Pulse is produced annually in conjunction with the Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF).

For the first time, Lippman Connects is making available a complimentary Executive Summary of the ECEF Pulse on request. Interested parties can receive the Executive Summary by sending an email to ecefreply@gmail.com.

Data in the Executive Summary include:
•    68 percent expect an increase in sponsorship sales this year.
•    58 percent say attendance at their largest event will grow in 2015.
•    By a 17 percent margin, growing attendance is considered the biggest challenge.

“Because ECEF sells out year after year, many of our colleagues are unable to receive the ECEF Pulse,” said Sam Lippman, President of Lippman Connects, organizer of ECEF. “Lippman Connects is pleased to offer them a selection of this important and timely information.” ECEF 2015 was held last month. In 2016, ECEF will be in Washington, D.C. on June 1.

The complete study is available only to ECEF attendees and provides additional data not available in the Executive Summary.
