Christine Murphy Peck
Christine Murphy Peck is a seasoned nonprofit executive who has spent her career helping organizations to be their best. Chris’s range of experience includes board development, content strategy, event management, certification program management, standards and guidelines, membership growth, education strategy, corporate education, facilitation and strategic planning.
Since 2021, she has served as the Chief Global Learning Officer at ASIS, the global association for security management professionals with more than 34,000 members, 240 chapters, and a series of in person events. These include the Global Security Exchange (GSX) with 220 educational sessions, 153,000 square feet of exhibit space and more than 15,000 attendees annually.
Prior to ASIS, Chris was employed at Smith Bucklin, where she served numerous roles including Interim Executive Director for the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), Associate Executive Director for Lamaze International and CEO for the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP). She was a Senior Director of the Education and Learning Department helping client organizations to reshape their educational content and event strategy to increase engagement and revenue. In one case, by 265 percent.
Chris was a member of the SmithBucklin consulting services team and served as Co-Facilitator of the SmithBucklin Leadership Institute. She is also a 2012 graduate of the SmithBucklin Leadership Learning Forum.
Outside of her SmithBucklin experience, Chris served for seven years as the Director of Education and Learning at the U.S. Tennis Association, where she established a full-service educational center providing professional development and educational resources to staff and volunteers in more than 1,000 community-based organizations. She is also the founder of Peck Performance Group, a consulting practice serving clients in the areas of education, training and organizational development.
Chris is a long-time member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and speaks frequently on event and education trends and industry best practices.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in French from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN. She is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the DiSC© and is a DDI Certified Facilitator. She earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential in February 2021. She was recently accepted into the Weatherhead School of Management, Master of Leadership and Organizational Change Program at Case Western Reserve University and will begin her studies in August 2026.
