  • Once again executives at independent and association organizers will convene on the Wednesday after Memorial Day for the Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum. The annual one-day experience, better known as ECEF, will be held on May 31, 2023, at the Grand Hyatt in Washington D.C. A networking reception on May 30 will kick off the action. Another highly anticipated ECEF attraction is the annual TechDemo, featuring executive-level demonstrations of event tech solutions.

  • Lippman Connects announced today the launch of Midsize Show Roundtable (MSR) to debut on November 17 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA. VisitPITTSBURGH and the David L. Lawrence Convention Center will be the destination hosts.

    MSR will be an information-sharing and networking experience for executives, directors, show managers, marketing managers, sales managers, and department managers making decisions for shows with less than 125,000 net square feet of exhibit space. Participants will get to know each other at a Welcome Reception and Dinner on the evening of November 16.

  • The exuberance of the exhibition and convention industry was on full display as 206 executives came together on June 1, 2022, for the biggest Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF) since before the Covid era. Held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. for the first time in its 21-year history, ECEF is renowned as the premier annual opportunity for independent and association event leaders to network and exchange insights.

    Sam Lippman, President, Lippman Connects, set the tone and pace for the day with his annual “5 Data Points in 5 Minutes”. Sourced from groundbreaking research by Freeman, Lippman revealed the top challenges facing the industry. Coming in at the top of the list was Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) concerns.

  • CHOOSE CHICAGO TO HOST LIPPMAN CONNECTS ROUNDTABLES
    Exhibit Sales Roundtable on June 30 & Attendee Acquisition Roundtable on July 28

    ARLINGTON, VA—May 9, 2022—For the first time since inception, Lippman Connects is partnering with Choose Chicago to bring the Exhibit Sales Roundtable (ESR) and the Attendee Acquisition Roundtable (AAR) to the McCormick Place complex.

    ESR is an information exchange and networking experience for exhibition and convention professionals who are responsible for selling and servicing exhibit space and sponsorships. The Chicago edition will be held at the Marriott Marquis at McCormick Place on June 30, 2022. AAR is also an information exchange and networking experience, but it is for professionals responsible for attendee marketing, including managers, creators, and specialists in data and digital. AAR will be at the Hyatt Regency at McCormick Place on July 28, 2022.

    Both ESR and AAR provide a fast-paced exchange of insights and ideas as well as proprietary research conducted by Lippman Connects and Evolio Marketing. Following each Roundtable, Choose Chicago will host a relaxed and relaxing Closing Reception.

  • Preparedness and optimism dominate the program for the Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum (ECEF), coming to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. on June 1.

    In announcing the program, Sam Lippman, President, Lippman Connects, said, “It’s not too early to take account of the most practical success strategies.” Because the ECEF emphasis is on top-to-top networking, Lippman stressed that each session will be shorter, highly focused, and more interactive. “This is C-level content that will get executives talking and sharing,” Lippman added.
